The ergonomic 32-inch uses a VA panel and provides access to several apps as well as a control panel for smart homes.

The South Korean electronics giant Samsung has previously introduced some self-sufficient monitors with their operating system or plans to do so with the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 (PRAD News), as well as more recently with several gaming displays with Tizen (PRAD News). With its smart screen, LG, a South Korean company, now hopes to follow suit.

The 32SQ780SW achieves 60 Hz refresh rates, has a 32-inch VA panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), and supports HDR10. Additionally, a 3000:1 contrast, 5 ms gray-to-gray response time, 250 cd/m2 normal brightness, and 90% DCI-P3 are guaranteed. The operating system is the cutting-edge webOS 22, which also includes several apps including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube.

As a result, you don’t need to connect an external device to use streaming services or play mobile games, for instance. If required, the two inbuilt 5-watt speakers can output the sound. Mirroring smartphone content onto the display is another option.

The ThinQ Home Dashboard is a smart home control hub for household-compatible gadgets on top of that. There is also a remote control available.

AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, HDMI, Miracast, RJ-45, USB 2.0, USB-C (with 65 watts of power), and WLAN are among the interface options. The LG 32SQ780SW has a screwable Ergo stand, weighs 7.2 kg without the stand, has a typical power consumption of 42 watts, and has a wealth of ergonomic features. These would be the VESA mount, pivot, rotation, tilt, and height adjustment (100 x 100 mm). The gadget can also be pushed back or pulled from the front.

The 32-inch model is priced at about $500 in the US. It is still unclear whether the product will ever be offered to the German market.
