Honor 80 Pro+ gets a 200MP camera and 100W charging
The Honor 80 Pro+ has come out of the woodwork courtesy of a well-known Chinese insider Digital Chat Station. DCS revealed the AMOLED display’s 1.5K resolution, for one. Secondly, it is supposed to be a “flexible screen”. This probably means curved sides – a foldable smartphone is quite unlikely.
The Honor phone is supposed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12 GB of RAM. The main camera resolves a whopping 200 megapixels according to the report, which strongly suggests the Samsung HP1 camera sensor. The same sensor is also under the main camera of the recently launched Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The HP1 also leads the camera department in the new Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
Charging speeds are said to reach up to 100 watts in the Honor 80 Pro+, which also speaks for it is the flagship of the Honor 80 series. In addition, a normal Honor 80 with a Dimensity 1080 processor and an Honor 80 Pro with a Snapdragon 778G are said to be planned.
The Honor 80 series is supposed to be launched in China by the end of the year. More information about the phones should surface by then. Besides the questions about the display and battery size, details about the rest of the cameras are still missing.
